Filmed between February and June, Third Space is a record of the end of summer and start of winter inside the North Perth Town Hall. Some days it flickers with the rhythms of dancing, cooking, and warmth. Some nights there are strange noises inside. In each adjoining room, community groups come together and then disappear.
Third Space is a documentary short film from producer Sydney Austen, director/editor Baeley Amalfi, cinematographer/colourist Ben L’Aiguille and production designer Paige Bently. The below stills are the result of their close visual collaboration over months alone at the hall, and the unique architectural and spacial style the team created together.
